What is your return policy?
If your bag does not make you smile, just call or email us and we will send you a return shipping slip to send it back our way. If you purchased in store, just pop in and we will work out the transaction. As long as the bag is brand new condition and has not been used we will give you a full refund once we receive it here. The bag should be return to us no later than 15 days of receipt.
How does shipping work?
We offer free shipping within the United States! We use USPS, UPS and FedEx carriers to ship your bag to you. All of our shipping labels include a tracking number, which you will automatically receive once we have fulfilled your order.
We consider 3-5 business days to get the package to you. If you are in the DC, MD, VA area, we also offer a free pick up option at our retail shop: 323 7th St. SE Washington DC 20003 -- we are always happy to see you in person!
If you need your product sooner, we offer an expedited shipping option, also through USPS, FedEx and UPS, to get it there faster.
Do you do repairs/offer a warranty?
We stand by our bags. If your bag has suffered a manufactural defect, please call us 202.672.3173 or email us firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make it right for you! We respond within 24-48 hours and are always happy to help!
What make you different?
We are vertically integrated- our products come from our factory, directly to you . We want to provide high quality, handmade bags at a fair price. We can keep our prices fair because we do everything ourselves! Because we own our factory, we are able to source all our own materials and control all the quality-- from the ethical workplace environment to the process of production.
We are keeping the art of handcrafting alive in this era of mass production. We have an artisanal based production- which means the only machinery we use are sewing machines. Everything else is done by hand!
In the US, we are a small 2-person husband and wife team. We unpack/unload all the new shipments from Mexico, ship online orders, are the faces behind customer service and so much more!
We take accountability and customer service extremely seriously. You will always see one of us at the retail location, or get an email response directly from us. If you ever have any questions, we will get back to you within 24-48 hours!
Where is your factory?
Quavaro Artisans is located in Leon, Guanajuato in Central Mexico. Leon has a history spanning for over 300 years in the leather industry. In addition to being a major leather capital, Leon is known as a shoe capital of the West. We created Quavaro Artisans in 2018 in order to set high standards in the workplace while designing and producing top-quality leather goods. Check out our Team page to meet our artisans!
How are you ethical?
This is one of the things we’re most passionate about! We feel one of the most challenging tasks is to find and recruit the most qualified individuals to join our team. We not only consider their talents, but their level of passion and their character. With the effort that goes into finding one artisan, you better believe that we do everything we can to make them to want to stay with us for the long haul! Paying our artisans well and providing full benefits is a must, but creating a positive environment is the key. We work together with our artisans to create the best work environment we possibly can. This includes bigger things like the right machinery to make their jobs easier to the smaller things like cushioned mats to while standing for longer periods.
